Parc Güell is located North of the center of Barcelona, a 20 minute walk away from the Lesseps metro and is one of the most significant works by Gaudí. At the park’s entrance there is a double stairway and a huge salamander that welcomes the visitors. The stairway’s path takes us to a room with 84 Doric columns that are recovered with white tiles and colored plafonds that create a dream-like space. The columns hold the park’s big “plaza”, which is famous for its beautiful balcony. On its 150 meter long bench, visitors can observe the city of Barcelona. The decoration has been made with broken tiles that mold into the curvy shapes that Gaudí designed.
