What did you like the most?: The Pestana Palace Hotel is an old palace converted into a hotel. I
stayed in room 1250, a junior suite with a separate living room in the
east annex wing. The hotel exudes luxury and opulence befitting its
status as one of the leading hotels of the world. The service was
impeccable and the experience was as though one was staying in an 18th
century palace. The buffet breakfast was sumptous and served in the main
building overlooking the gardens. sent it by Thomas

What did you like the most?: A real palace, wonderful room, view and garden.
Great room service and breakfast. sent it by Anónimo

What did you like the most?: Excellent facilities and service. sent it by Anónimo

What did you like the most?: A nice combination of history and modern comfort. The restaurant and
breakfast area are in an old palace, while (most of) the rooms are in
newer buildings. The staff was friendly, the pool is a nice way to relax
in the middle of the city. The garden provides a green atmosphere, again
unusual for a city location. Very rich breakfast buffet, good food. sent it by Maria

What did you like the most?: We had an amazing time at Pestana palace Hotel. After spending a week in lisbon with 6 other friends and attending Optimus festival, we needed some rest time. Pestana palace certainly provided that. The deal we received was amazing. We had massages, breakfasts, dinners included in the price. The breakfast was delicious, the room was so comfortable and the swimming pool was just divine. We even got to hnag out with Beth Ditto from the Gossip at the pool. I will most definately come back here again. If its good enough for Madonna, its good enough for me! thank you so much sent it by Anónimo

What did you like the most?: I am absolutely keen on leading hotels of the world,- Been from Mauritius Paradise Cove, Egypt Old cataract to Vidago Palace hotels for ex. because they are not commercial, give you unforgettable moments, design and details, live history, mistery, the feeling of dreaming, furtermore, they give you back the spirit of great travellers
And all the same sensations happened to me in this Palace in Lisbon. in the city, where I still have a house.... ,.being myself, one, of Portuguese nationality, not a foreign tourist....
As a solo traveller as usual,I took, my books and writings just to better feel and keep the atmosphere of today and past together, not only by writing on a stylish old desk in my room with a view over the garden, but also by writing, relaxed, lying on the grass by the pool.
.
In Pestana Palace Hotel and National Monument I loved the living rooms with their blend of styles, and the spirit of the beloved, XIX century, so well represented in here.
I liked to feel there were so many historical artifacts to see and loved the church inside the Palace, recalling, old houses of noble families and their reunions,
Above all I enjoyed the privacy of some refined living-rooms, with the gentle lights of lamps on, at night and the low music,
The glorious sunny light of Lisbon in the soft white yellow , buildings. of the hotel, during the day. is also unique.
Two highlight points were also, the greenhouse pavillion with a kind of" wind" fans functioning near opened glass walls, and the Lake, swimming-.pool , really so beautiful and natural. as it seems in pictures...
I loved the paintings. Everywhere, there were real paintings.as in a good house. In fact we could generouslly be near them. and respect them . In the Spa, there were simple comtemporary art paintings that really suited the place. The interior pool is opened till 11 pm, at least. It´s fantastic. sent it by Janet

some time in the future. Very strongly recommended. sent it by Anónimo

What did you like the most?: A lovely setting; rooms were comfortable (exceptionally so) and the ambience of the entire place was outstanding. The hotel staff was fantastic--we described this whole place to friends as a hotel where the service is the way hotels used to be when they treated guests as guests. Highly, highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again if I return to Lisbon. sent it by Jussara

into Belem,nice food,friendly staff,selection of pools to relax,not too
many young children, very helpful reception staff, great recommendations
for local restaurants, quiet hotel surroundings not too much traffic.
Could not believe tourists moaning about taxis and cost of travel - come
and live in Ireland for a while! In summary positives way outweighed the
negatives! sent it by Elisabeth

What did you like the most?: The building is beautiful and listed as a national monument and the
gardens are wonderful. Beautiful dining room and afternoon tea salon.
Very comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet.
Excellent traditional service from the staff, who were very professional, friendly and kind. Desk staff were very obliging and arranged dinner bookings at a fado restaurant for us.
Well located between the wonderful Museo de Oriente in the renwed dock area and the Monasteiro dos Jerónimos and the Antiga Confiteiría in Belém.
Tram line 15 is not far, and goes through to the Praça do Comercio and Baixa. sent it by Symon
