The old railway station is today a light, bright hotel, run by the Dutch cousins Sebastian and Mats. Reception is the old station foyer, where an installation of old suitcases act as a witty reminder of its history. Ultra-modern bedrooms, bathed in light from huge windows, have big confy beds, elegant blinds and a luxurious feel. The bathrooms match – generous and gorgeous. The large paintings you see everywhere are the work of Sebastian´s talented mother. A vast building with vaulted ceiling – once the carriage shed – now houses the bar/ café and a white walled dining room, where you feast on regional dishes that make the best use of local produce, the best meats on a hot stone and herbs from the Sierra Mariola. An outdoor pool is planned for 2005.
