This charming guest house is located in the old village of Peratallada and on the stunning Costa Brava. The building has been carefully restored to its glorious aspect of the seventeenth century and has a medieval tower. Relax in the tranquility of the Hostal Blau. Admire the color scheme of the rooms, combined in harmony with the natural surroundings to highlight the reasons of stone and wood of the original structure. The 6 rooms are uniquely decorated creating a unique atmosphere. Some have fireplaces and private terraces. Overlooking the natural area surrounding the Blau. During his stay in the Costa Brava you can enjoy many outdoor activities. Visit the golden beaches of the area where you can take a refreshing dip in the Mediterranean. You can explore the countryside and discover the beautiful Romanesque church nestled among the hills between ancient oak trees. If you arrive after 20:00, please contact the hostel in advance to arrange the handover.

What did you like the most?: We absolutely loved Peratallada and Hostal Blau. Peratallada was
recommended by a friend who lives in Barcelona. We found Hostal Blau on
the web. Both are a "must" on your itinerary. We didn't realize this
would be a "walking only," very (very!) small walled-city ... how we
laughed as we rolled our suitcases over the cobble stone streets to get
to the hotel ... unsure if the rollers would survive, but they did.
(Parking was included in the hotel fee, and is located outside the city
walls.) We felt like we had stepped onto the set of Pirates of the
Caribbean (without pirates, of course). And the hotel was incredibly
charming. You must explore all the rooms downstairs - you?ll enjoy the
breakfast room. Reminded us of the hotel in Mamma Mia! There are a
handful of great restaurants and a couple hotels in the "city" ... with
lots of narrow passage ways and worlds of charm! We stayed two nights
and loved every minute! Don't miss it!

What did you like the most?: The hotel itself is in an ancient building & yet it was comfortable,
clean, relaxing and welcoming. Parking is not near by but we managed our
luggage easily. Walking through the medieval village was delightful. We
were there in mid-March & many businesses and restaurants were closed
but with a car it is easy to explore the surrounding villages. We
thoroughly enjoyed the Blau and the area around it. I would recommend it
and hope to return myself again.

What did you like the most?: A very small hotel in a charming old house. Our room with the roof terrace was fantastic, with a splendid view of the village roofs and the surrounding countryside. This is definitely the very best room in the hotel! Good and very friendly service provided by the woman who runs the hotel, so we felt very welcome. We appreciated that the breakfast was more substantial than a standard "continental breakfast" (i.e. including fresh fruit, youghurt, warm bread, cheese etc). The village, Peratallada, turned out to be just as unique as the guidebooks say.

What did you like the most?: This hotel was beautiful as was the whole town of Pertallada. It a medieval setting in the beautiful countryside. The hotel had character and was in a very old building, but with all the comforts of a modern hotel. the rooms were quaint, even if on the slightly small side(which is not unusual in Spain). The lady who was working there during our stay was very friendly and helpful and she spoke very good english. It was one of my favourite hotels on our 3 week trip
