- "The biggest plus for the Hostel is it's location; it is on a pedestrian
only street and just 3 blocks from the Plaza Armas." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The biggest problem with the Hostel is it's location; it is across the street from a casino that pumps out loud music until the early early hours of the morning. I have a hearing impairment so, with my hearing aids out, it did'nt bother me too much but my wife had to wear ear plugs."

It felt very safe and secure there. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The wifi connection worked well from my room."

- "My only fault with the hotel was the lack of any heating. While not unusual in Peru to not have central heating, it was very cold when I visited so a space heater to take off the chill would have made it much more comfortable."

- "This family run hotel is set in an historic mansion in the center of the
old city. The courtyard, reception area and the dining room are finished
in stone and the white lava common to this area. Our room was in a newer
building and very comfortable, very clean. We enjoyed the atmosphere of
the hotel, and the location. The best part, however, were the people
behind the front desk. They were all exceedingly kind and helpful, ask a
question and you received some very good advice. The El Conquistador
offers charm, comfort and wonderful people at a great price."
