An unforgertable experience
¿Qué es lo que mas te ha gustado?: My wife an I spent a week in Spain last October (2002) and had the most fantastic time ever. We travelled Castille and Leon, staying in wonderful places (the Parador in Siguenza one such), and after seeing some incredible sights, (San Baudelio's Hermitage, Berlanga, Calatanazor, Burgo de Osma, Vinuesa and the Laguna Negra) we arrived in Silos on a windy and chilly Wednesday afternoon looking for a hotel.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Hostal Cruces. The courteous service, relaxed and pleasant family atmosphere made us feel at home straightaway. We were welcomed warmly and received a delicious home cooked three course meal reasonably priced.
We loved our spotless room overlooking the main square and the monastery.
Our hosts and their charming sons were wonderful. Nothing we asked for was ever a problem, whatever the time of day.
We so enjoyed our stay in Hostal Cruces as part of our trip to Spain that we are about to leave for another spell in Northern Spain, thinking that one day soon we will return to that special place in Silos which hold so many cherished memories for us both.
Best regards,
