- "There's a couple of things that you can like in this hostel.
First of all, the crew is friendly, helpful and available to you any time of the day, with no exceptions. You can check in any time you want, and check out at 11.30AM.
All the rooms are newly decorated (with ikea furniture exclusively, I think), bright, clean and look quite modern (complete with tainted-glass doors in the hallway).
The bathroom in the ensuite room (306) is also renovated, looks OK and has a very big shower cabin.
There is a newly renovated ikea-made kitchen, with all the stuff that you could need, available next to the common room.
There is WiFi and 2 computers available to the guests, in the common room. Also, they'll let you use their printer if you ask nicely.
Probably the most important thing - great location, just half a minute walk away from the Rossio square, right where all the magic of the city takes place.
If I ever come back to Lisbon (and I probably will, because the city is fantastic), I'll try to book the same room. I was a bit worried at first, after reading some not-so-enthusiastic reviews, but for sure I can now say this is a good place to stay.

- "So, all you fat, lazy americans will not like the fact that the rooms are on a second and third floor, and there's no elevator. However, they will offer to take your luggage, up and down. The window in my room had a huge hole in it, and it was impossible to close it completely, so I could hear some street noise during the night. Also, it was quite cold sometimes during the night, because the wind would come in through the aforementioned hole. However, this was not a major issue, when I was already tucked in my bed. No biggie. If you don't ask them, they won't change your towels. I don't know why, because whenever I saw them, they were cleaning or polishing something (it's for sure a clean environment), so I don't get their aversion to towels."

- "Location was excellent, near metro and train to sinstra, within 15mins of many restaurants with the downhill on your way back."

- "Internet was down 2days. East Timorese staff behind the desk for most of the stay really not very helpful, eg hesitant to make dinner reservations. Sanjay good though. Toilet had a perpetual slight sewer smell to it. Very very noisy after you or others in the building flush, and the rattling lasts for a while."
