About Casa de la Abuela
If you´re looking for a place to sleep in Granada, the guesthouse La Casa de la Abuela in the Barrio del Albaicín (Arab Quarter) is the best option. It is a guesthouse and rural house from the 15th century, recently restored yet conserving some of the original elements such as wooden doors, inlaid decorative floors and brick walls, plus an ample terrace with views of the Alhambra.
It has 6 rooms decorated in rustic style with modern installations to make you stay the most comfortable possible. All rooms are exterior and luminous.
Among other services offered, there is a reading room, dining room, patio where guests can have barbecues and a fully equipped kitchen to cook any time of the day.
Because of its privileged location near the Alhambra you will find the Cathedral at 15 minutes walking distance and the Arqueological Museum at only 220 meters. It’s next to Sacromonte, known for flamenco and pubs, Mirador de San Nicolás and Paseo de los Tristes, a plece full of bars to taste the typical cuisine.
You can enjoy trekking in La Colina de La Sabica, an Arabian bath or visit the Parque de las Ciencias science museum with both permanent and temporary exhibit.
