- "We picked the hotel for its location and the car parking (which is
secure and underground at 10 e per night) Although a little disappointed
with the area on arrival - it was a 10 minute walk to the centre of Aix
and we walked it both mornings and evenings with ease. Also picked it
for the pool which we did visit but the water was too cold for us (mid
Sept) although we sat out reading for a while. Bed was comfortable and
tea and coffee making facitlities were available. Loads of restaurants
and cafes in the town so plenty of choice. Take the 2 hr walking tour
from the Tourist Info office - 8 Euros and well worth it - and have
breakfast opposite while you are at it!" - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "Expensive to park. Not a terribly pretty area around the hotel although Aix is lovely. Probably a business hotel and also used by coach parties. Breakfast is 13Euros each - rather steep and when we arrived the room was so packed we gave up. We walked into town - found a cafe opposite the Tourist Office with an outside terrace (in the square) and had a brilliant breakfast for 4 Euros 50 - result!"

- "Breakfast buffet was poor for the price with most items empty hours before closing. We looked and passed."

- "The Best Western is a well-run hotel, with ample parking, and well located to walk to the town centre."

- "It was a central hotel and we were able to walk to the centre without using the car. Reception staff and restaurant staff were very efficient, helpful and courteous."

- "Despite being told that parking did not need to be booked, on arrival we arranged to use the car park and to pay the daily charge of 10 Euros. On our second evening we were told the car park was full and I had to inform the parking concierge that we were staying at the hotel before he accommodated us with the favour of letting us park in an unauthorised spot. There needs to be some change in organisation in order to reserve places for those who are staying at the hotel and have arranged to use the car park. The hotel was busy with events and delegates seemed to take priority over hotel guests. Later the same evening delegates had left which freed up spaces but this wasn't helpful when we arrived and needed the space."
