- "This was our second visit to this hotel. We booked a number of rooms
for ourselves and friends at the beginning and end of our stay in
Colombia. The first time we stayed there, it was not a totally pleasant
experience. However, after the 3rd hotel in Colombia we were more than
glad to be coming back to these Aparta. This time we were in a rather
pleasant room (# 201) that faced away from the street. Besides these
down-side items, the hotel was close to much of what we wanted to do on
the N. side of Bogota, was rather new and kept clean, and had an
excellent staff." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "We again had to request towels and a blanket (hotels in Colombia are generally unheated and the temperature can get a little cool at night). The shower provided "hot" water if you allowed only the slightest bit of water to pass through the tiny shower-head heater. Make sure you do not try to adjust the temperature of the water while in the shower - Colombian electrical devices are rarely double-insulated electrical and a nice little shock will prove this point. This hotel is very near the flight path to and from bog aeroport, and you will clearly hear the heavies flying from 6h to 23h each day. The last caution is that Colombian hotels ask for payment upfront; so, learn enough Spanish to ask to see the room and ask about details before accepting. Otherwise this hotel/apt. Is not a bad slice for the money."

- "It was very clean, had a good breakfast, and good staff. They called us the night before our arrival and told us they would meet us at the airport and transport us to the hotel free of charge. It was a good place to stay as long as you are not expecting much from the start. The WiFi was fully functional and was free, but had a limited capability (we could not both download or upload at the same time."
- Is there anything you didn't like?
- "These apartments are very close to the flight path of Bogota's main airport. The planes fly from 5h to 23h, with the heavies starting at 6h. When we arrived at BOG, there was no one from the hotel to meet us as offered; but they did pay for the taxi. There were no towels or blankets (Colombian's do not have heating and air conditioning) and it was rather cool in Bogota that week. The staff only spoke Spanish, but our 3 languages did not include Spanish - and things were a little strange now and again."

- What did you like the most?
- "On the positive side, the beds are very comfortable and the apartments
are quite large." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "There are no elevators in this hotel!!! If you have luggage, you will have to carry your suitcases up at least 2 very long flights of stairs. There is no heat in this hotel and practically no hot water. The faucets have only cold water. The shower has only a tiny stream of hot water. The hotel is very noisy in the morning. Also, they have few trash cans and you have to beg for towels. If you are a foreigner, they will try to rip you off by charging you a vat and city tax/insurance that you are exempt from paying. Do not let them rip you off."
