What did you like the most?
"The location, the cost and the facilities were good for a budget apartment."
Is there anything you didn't like?
"We had a problem with the toilet which we reported but nothing was done about it. There should have been extra blankets."

Asta (5/5)

What did you like the most?
"Very close to the centre. Can walk to Sol/Gran Via in about 10 minutes through the crowds and to the Royal Palace in about 15 minutes.
If you want to stay in a traditional Madrid building with old wooden stairs in the corridors and overlook local Spaniard apartments, this is definetly for you.
The bathroom (shower only, no bath) is as new. Very clean and modern.
Tiny kitchenette with two plate hob and a sink. No work surface. A microwave would be better than a hob. Small fridge in the corner.
The tv was a large, new plasma, on the wall opposite the beds.
If you are going to Madrid to sight see rather than spend time in a hotel room, this is the place for you. We paid 40Euros a night. Excellent for the location and standard.
Several local bars, restaurants and shops.
Nearest Metro - La Latina (2 min walk), Sol (10 min walk) Opera (10-15 min walk)"
Is there anything you didn't like?
"We booked a double but the beds were twin, but we just tied them together with rope! No room service, no daily maid, no facility to ask for extra towels, no reception. This "apartment" is more of a room with a tiny kitchen area. If you want to leave your bags after you check out, you must go to a hostel about a 15 minute walk away. We got a cab and took about 3-4 minutes. No problem in collecting bags later in the day."

What did you like the most?
"The appartment is very close to the Metro station, only a few minutes' walk. The Plaza Mayor and many other major sights are also within walking distance. A supermarket (Dia) is nearby for you to choose very tasty fruits. Our room is equipped with a small kitchen which allowed us to prepare some hot meal in case we needed. RIght out of the hotel, there is a lovely bar where you can enjoy drinking and chatting till midnight."
Is there anything you didn't like?
"There is no reception in the hotel. You have to call them to pick up the key. The room is not spacious and not provided with internet."

Anónimo (4/5)

What did you like the most?
"Great location. The apartment is at walking distance from most interest
points (El Retiro, Latina bars, Sol, Museums...). There are supermarkets
nearby (Dia and Lidl withing 5 minutes walking). The kitchenette was
equipped with most things one needs to cook a meal. They provided some
soap and sponge for the dishes, as well as soap and shampoo in the
bathroom. The big bed is pretty big. The shower is pretty spacious as
well. It's well worth the price we paid (60ish euro for 5 nights). The
Calle de Sta Anna may look a bit scary, but it's ok even at night. "La
cabra en el tejado" just in front is open until 2am and sold great Super
Bock for 1 euro."
Is there anything you didn't like?
"We could use a microwave. It would've come pretty handy. The frying pan had an irregular bottom surface, which didn't work very well with an electric cooker. The large pan had no lid. The shower was semi clogged (remove the metal filter or you'll flood the bathroom). The bar in front can be a bit noisy until 10pm. Then they close the doors and it's mostly quiet again."
