Este hotel rural está situado por encima de las orillas del río Guadalfeo. Cuenta con edificios tradicionales, una enorme piscina exterior y cocina casera.
El edificio tiene vistas al Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada y a las montañas de Contraviesa. Esta zona es conocida por acoger al escritor británico Gerald Brenan.
El restaurante de la Alquería de Morayma ofrece productos elaborados en el hotel. Incluye aceite de oliva y un vino delicioso. Sirve quesos de Alpujarra, estofados y platos de arroz.
Hay 2 comedores. Uno presenta un suelo de piedra, una chimenea y un jardín con terraza. El otro dispone de una decoración del siglo XIX y varios cuadros.
La Alquería de Morayma cuenta con una biblioteca y una colección de libros sobre la Alpujarra.
La sala de conferencias/taller único mide 90 m². Dispone de instalaciones de lavandería y vestidores. También hay mesas, sillas, colchones y un sistema de sonido.

- "Very small bed with one side against a wall woke up during night very claustrophobic and dark not value for money compared with other hotels we stayed in region . paid extra for room with terrace ,however terrace was totally overgrown with weeds and most unattractive as an area to sit in. Felt I was ripped off!"

- "The hotel seemed great for families with small children but as a couple with no children, we were annoyed by the sounds of kids in the room next door. The rooms are not well insulated either for sound or warmth. The hotel had a weekend-long Halloween celebration going on while we were there complete with fake spider webs and a cheesy Halloween-themed soundtrack playing on repeat in the dining room. Again, great for kids, but not so much for a couple looking for a quiet weekend away. The staff were nice, but there were too few servers on hand and service was slow. Using a credit card for payment was an issue and although the charge finally went through, the staff seemed very inexperienced using major international credit cards."
